Beautiful home on the lagoon. This was the perfect place for our large family. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The home is large and well appointed. The location on the lagoon is perfect. There was someone in the pool almost constantly. We had a memorable stay. And our three marathon runners had a great race.

The only thing that kept this beautiful property from a perfect 5 star rating was some inconveniences due to kitchen appliances needing attention. That being said, the property managers were readily available, quick to respond, professional and kind, and willing to do what was needed to give us access to working appliances! Other than that little hiccup the property met all expectations as represented on the website. We had a family gathering with more grandchildren than adults. The home was large enough that we never felt crowded with plenty of space for sleeping, relaxing, and playing. The amenities were always well maintained and enjoyable. I had more than a few family members comment that this was the best vacation house yet! We’ve been gathering annually for 11 years. Plays Lucaya has already been booked again for next summer!

This is a remarkable place to stay. The private pool is warm and inviting, even when the lagoon is cooler or it is stormy outside, like it was for a couple of days we were there. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We only had 14 in the place so some rooms were vacant. We really enjoyed the swim toys and basket in the private pool. The kitchen had every appliance we needed to prepare our meals. Working directly with Jake was outstanding. He always seemed to be available and answered our concerns quickly. He even helped us get a place we wouldn't have considered otherwise. Thanks to all those who keep this facility one we hope to return to again.

Reservation Guarantee

Our reservation guarantee allows you to book a trip with confidence. You will be entitled to refunds and rescheduling options not otherwise provided to guests who have opted “out” of this program. Without the reservation guarantee you will have a zero cancellation policy and zero reschedule policy. There will be absolutely no refunds unless Desert Color Resort is notified within 24 hours of the reservation being made. 24 hours after booking, should you have to cancel your reservation at any point, for any reason, you will lose what you’ve paid up to that point. By not purchasing the reservation guarantee, you will accept that you forfeit all monies paid if you have to cancel your reservation.

The Reservation Guarantee allows for:

A full refund 15+ days prior to arrival for 2-5 bedroom properties.
A full refund 45+ days prior to arrival for 6+ bedroom properties.

For cancellations made outside of the 45 or 15 days, Desert Color Resort refunds the entire amount of your payments made minus the cost of the reservation guarantee (which is only 7% of the total rent).

For cancellations made inside of the 45 or 15 day time frame, when refunds are no longer available, you will be allowed to reschedule your stay in that same property within 12 months, but no monies will be refunded. After the 12 months, all monies are forfeited.

Without the Reservation Guarantee, absolutely no refunds.
